What makes the Springfield 592 unique:
Vortic Watch Company is thrilled to present another American Artisan Series conversion - the Springfield 592. This spectacular wristwatch preserves a 1917 Illinois Watch Company pocket watch within a champagne titanium case and is accented with a knurled gold crown in the hunting style. The Springfield 592 is especially noteworthy as it seamlessly combines a rare movement with a snow-white porcelain dial, black decorative numerals, and Breguet-style blued hands. We’ve finished the look with a tan strap so this striking piece can become a centerpiece on your wrist.
This watch is part of a special release because we do not see these “two-tone” movements very often, and this particular one is very well executed. Illinois Watch Company manufactured the components of the movement using brass, plated them with nickel or rhodium, and then removed some of that plating to make the movement have the two-tone effect. We love seeing these not only because they are beautiful but also because we admire the artisanal craftsmanship done nearly 100 years ago!
